Our school
KEY (Keep Educating Yourself) academy is a forward-looking, 21st-century project-based school for children aged 18 months to 18 years old, offering a new model for education, which puts the child at the centre of the learning experience. Through our local and global network of co-learners (our term for ‘teachers’), subject matter experts, mentors and industry leaders, we have replaced memorisation and testing with projects that are real, relevant, meaningful, and applicable not only to current global challenges, but those of the world our children will inherit.
The world desperately needs voracious self-directed learners who see tough problems as solvable puzzles, which they are more than capable of overcoming. The current global model of education was designed almost 150 years ago, and although it catered to the challenges of the industrial revolution, it does not adequately prepare children for a rapidly evolving world. KEY academy is revolutionising the approach to education in Nigeria, equipping the next generation with the 21st century skills they need to change the world.
